Chad Jenkins comes to Nationals Park
Kennesaw State right-hander Chad Jenkins came to Nationals Park on Thursday morning and worked out for the Nationals, which included acting general manager Mike Rizzo and manager Manny Acta.
The Nationals could select Jenkins with the 10th overall pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. Jenkins is 8-1 with a 2.54 ERA and hurled 98 strikeouts in 92 innings. Jenkins was the Atlantic Sun Conference’s Pitcher of the Year this season.
