Nationals sign Joe Beimel
Manager Manny Acta finally has the eight inning reliever he was looking for, as the Nationals signed left-hander Joe Beimel to a one-year, $2 million contract on Wednesday afternoon. Beimel is expected to report to camp on Thursday.
Beimel, an eight-year veteran, played for the Dodgers last year, posting a 2.02 ERA in 71 games.
